Jonna Tamases – Co-Host

jonna-teaching-stacked Attended Columbia and Stanford Universities. Got cancer at 19 and 20. Got cured. Lots of local improv and sketch comedy. Became a party entertainer, doing wacky characters. Realized the big money was in juggling and stilt walking. Attended Clown College to learn how. Became a clown with Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus. Toured the country, living on the circus train. Ran away from the circus to join a town (Los Angeles). Made some movies, small TV appearances, commercials. Starred on the main stage at ACME Comedy Theater for many years. Made a one-person show about cancer experience, “Jonna’s Body, Please Hold.” Show nominated for two LA Ovation Awards – Best World Premiere Play and Best Lead Actress. Started touring show nationwide. Got more cancer. Got cured. Continued touring. Wrote, produced and starred in movie version of “Jonna’s Body.” Won six awards on the festival circuit. Still touring live show. Started storytelling. Enjoy hiking, yoga, texturized soy protein and letting go, but also enjoy sitting on ass, frozen pizza, and reliving old grievances.
